The Next 18 Years
About a month before another allergy season set in (1991), I started taking a 50mg supplement of zinc citrate every day to strengthen my immune system, but 50 mg was too much and shortly after I stopped for several days and restarted at 50 mg every other day. Unexpectedly, when the allergy season started, the deep fatigue and other allergy symptoms didn’t set in. To be sure, I took the allergy medication several different times during the allergy season and didn’t feel any better.
Zinc citrate cured my pollen allergies, but “cure” doesn’t mean forever because a new root cause can cause allergies (or any illness). 15 years later (2006), the deep fatigue and other pollen allergy symptoms came back and came back making a mild asthma problem much worse. Increasing the amount of zinc didn’t help and just caused zinc “overdose” symptoms.
A couple of years after the allergies came back, I went to the doctor for allergy medication and a cure for asthma. What I got was a prescription for the allergy medication Singulair, and a really big effort to try to get me on a steroid (for asthma). Many doctors love to prescribe steroids because getting a patient on a medication, any medication, makes the patient dependent on the doctor for the medication and dependency creates repeat visits. Steroids have an added financial benefit for doctors in that steroids are a treasure trove of repeat visits because steroids cause so many side affects and illnesses.
In June 2009 I was able to put an end to the allergies and allergy induced asthma attacks with the nutrient mentioned on the previous page. I’m still working on completely removing the asthma.
