Prevent Pseudo BPH – Also Known As Zinc Deficiency

BPH is an illness where the prostate has become larger than normal, preventing the bladder from completely emptying, causing frequent urination, difficult to go, sudden need to go, and for some “ED”. Pseudo BPH causes these same symptoms due to a zinc deficiency, not BPH. A typical doctor in the U.S. who has a patient with these symptom will likely test for prostate cancer with a PSA test, but very likely will never test for zinc deficiency, and will very likely diagnose BPH and prescribe a drug for BPH with no concern at all about possible zinc deficiency.

Even if a zinc test is performed, the low end of the range for a healthy zinc level used is too low, is likely a zinc deficiency. If your zinc test result is in the bottom quarter of the range, you likely have a zinc deficiency.

Of course, another way to find out if zinc deficiency is the cause of your BPH symptoms is to take 25mg of zinc citrate or zinc picolinate a day and see what happens after 10 days. If you have pollen allergies and have BPH symptoms, chances are higher that you have a zinc deficiency and not BPH. Zinc is truly a core nutrient of the immune system. Allergies are hard on the immune system, increasing zinc needs.

A quality zinc supplement will correct a zinc deficiency and zinc deficiency symptoms, so if you have true BPH, zinc won’t correct BPH. Even if you have BPH, stay on the zinc – it’s necessary for a healthy immune system.

Zinc deficiency also causes involuntary grinding of teeth, especially during sleep. Move your lower jaw all the way left and then all the way right. you may hear a fairly loud jaw joint crack like a knuckle crack. Relieve pressure on the jaw joint by regularly checking for the jaw joint crack.

Other symptoms of a zinc deficiency include white spots on fingernails, for some a fatigue where after exhaling noticing the effort it takes to inhale (not talking about “airway constriction”). Deep zinc deficiency causes flat on your back fatigue, literally.

BPH symptoms can also be caused by an infection. If so, an antibiotic is needed and so is a glass of cranberry juice twice a day.
